Placker is designed to seamlessly integrate cards attributes with Trello and mirrored cards. However, it sometimes does happen that some elements might not be in full sync, or there are other reasons why you don't see a board in Placker.

Please let us know when you have any questions, we have listed some of the frequently asked questions, and ways to resolve them in the list below.

Trello integration common issues, causes and solutions

Board doesn't appear in importing list

Only boards that are not yet imported in Placker and on which you are a full board member are in the list to be imported.

  • Please check if you are a full member of the Trello board and the board is active in Trello.

  • Please assign yourself to a card on the board, this will make you a full board member.

  • In Placker, check if you are a member of multiple subscriptions (go to more in the top right to switch subscriptions), the board could be listed in a separate subscription.

In case you still can't find the board, reach out in the chat and let us know the title of the board so we can cross check the issue.

If that's the case, please inform us the title of the board not imported.

Board imported from Trello doesn't show all cards

When boards have 100+ cards and/or a lot of data added, it can take a lot of time to fully import a new board. The importing process is a asynchronous process that urns in runs in the backend, so you can close the import window and check again later.

In case there continues to be an issue with the imported board, let us know the title of the board in the chat so we can manually sync the data and resolve the issue for you.

I don't see a board in my Placker overview page

This can happen if you are not a member of the board, or maybe it is added to a separate subscription.

  • In Trello, please check if you are a member of the board, assign yourself to a card on the board in Trello to make sure you are a full member, then check Placker again.

  • In Placker you can check if you are a member of multiple subscriptions by clicking on more, and then change subscription (when it is available) to switch your subscription.

In case you have a board is multiple subscriptions or you can't find the board in Placker, let us know so we can check and resolve this for you.

Comments are assigned to the wrong user

If the user that Trello shows as who did the comment is not the one who actually wrote it, refer to this article

The "Card mirror" button doesn't work in the Trello power-up

This is usually related to browser settings, please check this troubleshooting article.

Only custom fields don't match in mirrored boards

If only custom fields are not syncing and all other attributes are, please try the steps in this article.

Card attributes don't match in mirrored boards

First of all, notice that attributes such as members, lists, labels and custom fields can be synced by Placker mirroring, but only if they exist in both boards.

For example, if you mirror a card assigned to "Alex" and with the "Urgent" label, but the mirrored board doesn't have this member added or a label with this name, then this attribute cannot be mirrored.

You can open board settings and in the mirror settings enable the automatic detection of labels and custom attributes to address cases like these.

Another possible cause is that the attribute is unchecked in mirror settings. Someone might have disabled the mirroring of a specific attribute or made comments being added for each change instead of updating the mirrored card's attribute.

Checklist items don't match in mirrored boards

In this case, please reach out to us in the chat sending both card URLs and a screenshot when possible so we can check this on our side and sync them when possible.

A mirror rule is not working as it's supposed to

If as card is not mirrored as intended, please check the mirror rules overview for possible error messages.

One of the most common is that Placker prevents cards to be mirrored twice to the same board to avoid duplicates. For example, if you added label A to a card, triggering a mirror, then also adds a label B, which would then create a second mirror, only the first will be created.

Rules can be complex, in case it looks like a rule is not working correctly for you, please reach out to us in the chat. If possible share a screenshot of the rule that is not working and the URL of the card that should have fired the rule. This way we can look into the issue.

Help our team identify the issues

We are here to help and appreciate your detailed input in troubleshooting any issue that you encounter. Feel free to send as much information as possible on an issue like board title, card URLs, screenshots etc.

The first step that we try to do is to analyze your issue and try to reproduce the issue on a separate test board. In case you can already reproduce the issue on a separate board, that would be very helpful.

You can paste any screenshots directly in the chat using Ctrl-V.
