Quick card creation from the header lets you create a card on any board from any view, without leaving what you're working on. Click the + button in the top header, fill in a title, pick the target board and list, and you're done.

Who it's for

Anyone who works across multiple boards or spends time in views where card creation wasn't possible before. Report view, Gantt, and board group overviews benefit the most.

How to use it

  1. Click the + button in the header, between the search bar and the bell icon.

  2. Enter a Card title.

  3. Pick the Target board. The list defaults to the last board you used and is sorted alphabetically.

  4. Pick the Target list within that board.

  5. Optional: pick a Template if the target board has any.

  6. Click Create card. A toast appears so you can open the new card and edit further details.

Where to find it

Top header, between the Search bar and the bell icon. The + button is available from any view, including Board, Planner, Gantt, Report, and board groups.

Things to know

  • The modal is intentionally minimal. Only title, target board, target list, and template (if available) are shown. Other attributes like description, due date, members, and labels are added afterward by opening the card.

  • The board list in the dropdown is scoped to your current workspace.
