Make Your Cross-Board Collaboration Easier

Do you struggle to keep card information consistent across multiple Trello boards? Manually updating the same information in different places wastes time and often leads to inconsistencies.

The Card Mirror & Sync Power-up for Trello solves this problem by creating synchronized mirror cards across your boards. Your cards will stay in perfect sync automatically, ensuring everyone has the same information regardless of which board they're viewing.

This could help in many cases. For example:

  • Product teams sharing feature cards between roadmap and sprint boards

  • Client-specific boards that need to reflect tasks from a main operations board

  • Team boards that need visibility into shared company-wide initiatives

Step-by-Step Setup Guide

Instructions

1. Enable the Power-up:

β€’ Open your Trello board

β€’ Click the "Rocket" icon in the top-right corner

β€’ Click "Add Power-ups"

β€’ Search for "Card Mirror by Placker"

β€’ Click "Add" and then "Add" again

2. Sign up and import a board:

β€’ Click the gear icon that now appears in the Trello menu

β€’ Check the box to agree to the terms

β€’ Click "Sign up for Placker"

β€’ In the pop-up window, scroll down and click "Allow"

β€’ Click "Import board"

3. Mirror a card:

β€’ When viewing your cards, click the Rocket icon below

β€’ Click "Card mirror"

β€’ Select the board you would like to mirror this card to

Note: if you don't see the board, it's required to import it before mirroring cards

4. Configure synchronization options:

β€’ Next to the Mirrors section, click settings

β€’ Choose which card elements sync (title, description, checklists, attachments, etc.)

β€’ Choose if you want the new settings to apply to existing or future cards

5. Create automation rules

β€’ For automated mirroring, click the sync icon, then Manage Mirror Rules

β€’ Click Add New Rule

β€’ Add a condition (example: when cards are moved to the To do list)

β€’ Add an action (example: these cards should be mirrored to the Project 2 board)

β€’ Choose what happens when the conditions are no longer met. For example, if the card is moved away from this list or archived, then the mirror should also be archived

β€’ Test the rule to see if the mirrored card is created correctly

Tip: If you close any setup window by mistake, just go back to your Trello board and click the icon to continue setup.
